Trading stocks and funds requires opening a securities account with our service. Once your securities account has been opened, you can invest through our service not only in crypto assets but also in stocks, ETFs and ETP products. We recommend completing the securities account application on a computer for the smoothest possible experience.
đĄ Two steps to opening a securities account
1) Accept the Stock Trading Agreement in Kvarn X
In the mobile app:
a) Open the User menu (the round button in the top-left corner of the app)
b) Enable the Stock trading agreement and accept the terms
In the web application:
a) Select Stocks from the top menu
b) Click Get started and accept the terms
2) Submit your securities account application in the registration portal
Once you have accepted the Stock Trading Agreement (step 1), complete the securities account application in our partner Interactive Brokersâ registration portal. After submitting the application, your securities account will be activated in Kvarn X within 24 hours.
Opening a securities account on a computer (recommended)
Open the Kvarn X web application
Go to the Stocks section at the top of the page
Click Get started
Read the terms and conditions and, after accepting them, click Submit
Click Create an IBKR account and register
Our partner Interactive Brokers' portal will open in a new window.
Create your login credentials in the portal (email, username and password).
Select the account type, such as individual or business account
Click Start application, complete the application and submit it.
Opening a securities account on a mobile device
Open the Kvarn X mobile app
Go to the User menu (the round button in the top-left corner of the app) and enable the Stock trading agreement
In the view that opens, tap Buy stocks
Read the terms and conditions and, after accepting them, tap Submit
Tap Open a securities account
Create your login credentials in the Interactive Brokers portal that opens
Select the account type, such as individual or business account
Tap Start application, complete the application and submit it.
Frequently asked questions about opening a securities account:
1. I submitted my securities account application â when will my securities account be activated? You will be notified by email when your securities account has been activated, usually within 24 hours. At the same time, securities trading will be enabled in the service, allowing you to trade products such as ETFs and stocks.
2. I did not complete my securities account application in the Interactive Brokers portal. How can I continue it? You can complete your securities account application here.
3. I accepted the stock trading agreement in Kvarn X but have not yet started the securities account application in the Interactive Brokers portal. Where do I start?
