Opening an account and identity verification (KYC)

Account opening, registration, identity verification, passkey, biometric authentication, fingerprint, Face ID

Using the Kvarn X service requires creating an account and completing strong identity verification. You can open an account as either a private or business customer as follows:

Opening an account

  1. Go to www.kvarnx.com or open the Kvarn X mobile app and select Create account.

  2. Select the account type: Personal account or Business account

  3. Verify your identity using either your online banking credentials or your passport

  4. Complete the registration form, provide your personal bank account details (account for withdrawals) and accept the Terms of Service.

  5. Private customer: You will receive a confirmation email and your account will be ready to use immediately.

  6. Business customer: You will receive a confirmation email after your account has been reviewed and approved

  7. Log in, deposit funds and start trading.

Business account documents

⚠️ Please note! Registering a business account requires submitting the documents listed below. You will receive a request to provide these documents by email no later than 24 hours after registration.

The following documents are required for business account registration:

  • Company register extract or equivalent official company registration document (no more than 3 months old)

  • Articles of Association (or association rules)

  • Description of the company’s ownership structure

  • Power of attorney or another document verifying the right to represent the company (e.g. minutes of a Board of Directors meeting)


Customer due diligence (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML)

During registration, we ask for legally required background information, such as:

  • Nationality

  • Country of tax residence

  • Source of funds

For business accounts, you must also provide:

  • Basic company information

  • The company’s beneficial owners

This is part of the regulatory requirements for preventing money laundering and terrorist financing.
