tax reports, tax authorities, reporting

Tax year 2025 and earlier:

Kvarn X does not automatically report tax information to tax authorities on behalf of the customer. Customers are responsible for reporting the required information to the tax authority of their country of tax residence.

Tax year 2026 and onwards:

  • Customers tax resident in Finland

Kvarn X automatically reports the required tax information to the Finnish Tax Administration. Information concerning the 2026 tax year will be reported to the Finnish Tax Administration in early 2027 for both crypto-asset and securities trading.

  • Customers tax resident outside Finland

Kvarn X reports the required tax information to the Finnish Tax Administration in accordance with applicable legislation. The Finnish Tax Administration may share the reported information with the tax authority of the customer’s country of tax residence through automatic exchange of information.

For example, if a customer is tax resident in France, Kvarn X reports the applicable information to the Finnish Tax Administration, which will share the reportable information with the French tax authorities in accordance with the applicable information exchange rules. Customers remain responsible for ensuring that their own tax returns are accurate and for reporting and paying any applicable taxes in accordance with the rules of their country of tax residence.
